2020 Zionsville Lions Club Vocational Scholarship
The Zionsville Lions Club will be awarding a vocational scholarship of up to $2,000.00 ($1,000.00 per year for a vocational training program not to exceed two years) to a graduating senior from Zionsville Community High School. The student must participate in a post-secondary vocational training program or attend an accredited vocational/trade school to completion. The recipient must be a resident of Zionsville School District for at least two years.
The Lions Club Vocational Scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:
Service to the community, which may be local, state, national or international
School activities/leadership
Employment in the community and vocational training plan
Essay/Recommendations
The following must be submitted with the completed application form:
Transcript of high school credits
Two (2) letters of recommendation
Essay on how community service has influenced your development
The Zionsville Lions Club Scholarship Committee may choose to interview candidates. Interested students should complete the application and submit it to Kara Clarke, Counseling Department Administrative Assistant, by Thursday March 26, 2020. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. The vocational scholarship recipient will be announced at the Senior Awards Night in May.
